It's a while since we have been to the pond. A great cheer went up when this boat flew through the air and capsized...
I hate to be a killjoy, but the model speedboats do bring out the grumpy old man in me. They make a hell of a racket, which isn't what you want if you're after a quiet Sunday afternoon by the pond. The cheer proved that I am not alone in this view :-)

I love your shot of the man taking a photo.
I must pop along to Tynemouth boating lake one Sunday morning, see if the old guys still meet to show off their model boats (lovingly hand-crafted with polished brass fittings and mini steam boilers for power)....but I suspect it'll be noisy screamers with radio control too now.
