I've been called worse ;-)
The thing-on-a-railing shot is a cliché, but I quite like this one.
Not an easy day today. At work, aside from being stupidly busy (nothing new in that), I found myself involved in a ludicrous telephone conversation with a particularly unpleasant civil servant. I'm sure it's unprofessional to tell a representative of Her Majesty's Government to fuck off, so I didn't do that, but I came mighty close...
At lunchtime I met a very dear friend who is currently having to deal with four separate very difficult situations. Any one of these would be stressful enough on is own, but having to endure four of them at once is quite unreasonable. I wish I could make it all better, but I can't, so I listened and administered emergency hugs. I hope that helped.
This evening I'm going to pull up the drawbridge and think of holidays!

I love this picture.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the hugs helped. Roll on those hols xxx
The picture is fantastic - that little bit of colour makes it all work. Sometimes listening and hugs are just the right thing. Just to know that soembody else understands helps. Probs won't speak to you again before your holidays - so have a great time!
ReplyDeleteCliche shot or not, it's a great one! (and emergency hugs ALWAYS help!)
ReplyDeleteI like this photo! Sorry to hear about your friend's troubles - they're like buses, always coming together - and I'm sure the tlc helped.
