I'm all in favour of civic art and if it's useful, then so much the better - but I'm afraid that to my eyes that thing looks like it was conceived and designed by a not-very-talented ten year old. It seems to be quite well constructed, though...
Sunday evening. Ugh.

I like the way the person passing it is almost mirroring in the opposite direction. I quite like that clock. I'm glad it's well constructed as it would give someone a very sore head if it fell down.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a lovely weekend x
Must admit I don't like it too much either, but I do like this picture! Imp's right too you've got the mirror image spot on!
ReplyDeleteThe clock looks as though it's going to step on someone - quite threatening. A good shot of it though with someone stepping past and both in the reflections in the puddles.
ReplyDeleteI quite like the legs, but the actual clock lets the whole thing down!
ReplyDeleteHmm. Not my cup of tea either, glad it is in Scotland.
ReplyDeletemmmm.....think they could have chosen better, can't see it standing the test of time (sorry, I'll get me coat....)
ReplyDeleteLooks as if that leg is about to stomp on the pedestrian passing underneath :-)
ReplyDeleteCool shot. I don't like the clock either, looks a bit violent in a silly way
ReplyDeletelol, it is funny though! most interesting design...
