11 January 2010. The "missing word" round.

Edge.

I have clearly missed my vocation as a graffiti proof-reader. At least the graffitist didn't forget the obligatory representation of male genitalia. Though I hope for his sake that it wasn't a genital self-portrait.

Returning to yesterday's blog, I googled O. A. Goll and found this. Not only does it show us the inside of the shop (which looks every bit as scary as the outside), it also tells us that Mr Goll's first name was, splendidly, Otto. Which in turn suggests that he was probably German. I think he missed his vocation as a Bond villain. It also tells us that the shop has been there for even longer than I had guessed, so we can assume that Herr Goll has by now made his way to the great salon in the sky. Either that or he's the world's oldest hairdresser.

  1. Otto is a fine name. I think you should offer your services to graffiti artists for a small fee. You could scrawl an advert under them there genitalia... You could also offer to give them bigger penises...

  3. Goll's missed a trick when they designed their webpage.....the inclusion of a violin case in the photograph could have turned it into a cult venue for a mafia haircut!
