A lovely day out with my two favourite girls and my favourite little boy. Which I have chosen to illustrate with a picture taken in Queen Street station.
First, we wandered (or, in his case, ran) round the Green for a while. Then lunch. Then more wandering (or, in his case, running). Then a visit to the People's Palace. Then coffee and cake. Then a little shopping. Then home.
The People's Palace is an odd place. If I were being kind, I would say that it poses interesting questions about the distinction between that which is historically important and that which is trivial; or about whether the primary purpose of a museum should be documentary, educational or celebratory. The same can be said about the Kelvingrove and the Transport Museum. All three establishments are interesting enough but somehow leave me with the impression that they could be a lot better. At least they try...
Hooray for Easter weekend!

It was a lot of fun. I love the bottom picture here.
ReplyDeleteI like both of the photos, the patterns in the top one are perfect somehow!
ReplyDeleteLove the top picture!
ReplyDeleteI spent the afternoon in Durham with my three favourite girls...
Sounds like a great day out. Those bushes are the perfect size for a small boy to run around in.
ReplyDeleteSpring lamb heads for the pot at about 6 months, otherwise it stays 'lamb' until 9 to 12 months. After that it's mutton.
ReplyDeleteLove the box bushes.
