This isn't a very good picture of a bat, but it's a picture of a bat and I'm very pleased with it. My bat photography technique is as follows:

1 Turn on flash
2 Point camera in general direction of bat activity
3 Observe bat
4 Press shutter
5 Repeat until bat is successfully caught in the frame

I got this one after three or four attempts. Subsequent attempts were unsuccessful and I gave up after a while, figuring that I probably wouldn't get better than this.
