30 July 2010. Alternative portraiture again

Because of recent (and not so recent) events, I feel the urge to say something about these photographs. But no... I shall stick to my principles. They are photographs; they are representations of scenes from the world; they are what they are. I shall not try to explain them and I shall not make excuses for them. If you like them, great. If you understand some of the things I would like you to understand, so much the better. If you don't like them, that's fine: you can move on.

So glad it's the weekend.

  2. I understand, therefore keep coming back. Photography is a broad church, and that's what makes it so interesting.

    I also like bottoms!

  3. Probably don't understand them, just a simple chap. However I do like them!

And certainly don't object to them, as AJB says, it's a broad church lets get on with it.....

  5. There is always going to be a slice of the population who "don't get" Shooting Stars, or Harry Hill or Monyt Python or whatever"....luckily there are more people who do, and who don't find it neccesary to over analyse the simple fact that the majority of people would like to see the world through alternative eyes, enjoy a light hearted look at the wonderful diveristy of humanity and celebrate it.
